Help a former TODAY intern out.
By Ryan Lytle

If you told me when I graduated from Ohio University three weeks ago that I would be in New York City today promoting myself as a guest on TODAY, I would have thought you were crazy.

As a production intern with the show during this past winter, I had an amazing opportunity to go on shoots, research segments and work in the studio and control room.

Oh, and I also got to chest bump Matt Lauer on the last day of my internship on national television. If you haven’t seen it yet, go ahead and check it out. Believe me, I hear about it still on a daily basis.

Well, this national television debut of mine has prepared me to come back on the show and promote myself in a different way.

MTV partnered with Zync from American Express in a search for the new social voice of MTV. They scoured the web in search of unique voices in entertainment and pop culture and people with an affinity for social media. Luckily, I was one of the 20 candidates they found.

I am now competing for a dream job that would allow me to move to New York, travel to amazing entertainment events and be a part of something I am extremely passionate about. I would be the first-ever MTV Twitter Jockey (zync.mtv.com).

I'm on TODAY this morning -- and writing on allDAY -- to ask you to help me achieve my dream.

There are a series of Twitter-based challenges between July 7 and July 20 that each TJ candidate will have to complete.
I am asking you to be a part of each of these challenges with me. Please follow @rlytle on Twitter to follow along my journey for the next month. Also, feel free to add me on Facebook. But don’t just follow along; talk to me! I would love to hear from all of you.

I can’t stress how much it would mean to me to have you be a part of this competition. Help a former TODAY intern reach a huge milestone.

Who knows? If you follow me, and I win, there may be a chest bump coming your way!

Kathie Lee needs to be more humble, her sarcasm is getting very annoying, why is she on this show, Hoda should be first on billing. Hoda is much more likeable. Kathie Lee is very self serving, people are people and she is no better than anyone else, her celebrity has definitely inflated her head. Moreover, to use the show to try and create an opportunity for her kids? Can you say nepotism, give me a break, we don't see the rest of the today show cast bringing in their children. Keep in mind, you have everyday Americans watching this show, not everyone is from the Hamptons living in this posh celebrity lifestyle Kathie lee lives in.

I TOTALLY agree with your comment. As I indicated b4 in an e-mail to the actual station - KLG is very rude and condescending towards Hoda. I feel so bad for Hoda at times and wish that either she was hosting this show on her own or getting someone else to be alongside her who is not so 'cutting and putting down'. KLG is now making this show more and more about her and her family - now CODY is on viewing movies........she really thinks her S— — — — doesn't stink and I can't stand it. I wish NBC family would recognize this and do something about it. I love it when Hoda is on her own or with a 'guest' co-host when the QUEEN-NOT-TO-BEE is out of town...........

I have written more than one email with the same sentiment. I've wondered since the first day she was on the show WHY??? The audacity of teaching Hoda about theatre by taking her to a show weekly gagged me from the first time it was introduced. Her constant jabber about her wine and drinking has long ago lost its luster - as if there ever was any in the first place. I don't understand the move and I will never understand.

Hoda is a classy woman who at times seems embarrassed to be sitting next to Kathy Lee. I don't blame her. I've thought from the beginning she should be the headliner of this show. It was a slap in her face, after her history with the Today Show to be the second in command to Kathy Look at Me Gifford.
