The Queen returns! Meredith shows up as surprise Halloween guest

A royal wedding wouldn't be complete without the queen. And who else could pull off the regal role but our own Meredith Vieira?

The former TODAY anchor surprised our hosts and audience members during our annual Halloween bash, this year themed to the royal wedding. 

And of course Meredith played the Queen of England, granting her blessing to the marriage of Prince Williams (Matt) and Kate Middleton (Ann). They were joined by Prince Harry (Al), Pippa Middleton (Natalie), Prince Charles (Savannah) and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie (Kathie Lee and Hoda). Check out images of the anchors here. 

Since leaving TODAY, Meredith hasn't been far away. She joined "Rock Center with Brian Williams" as a correspondent. The show premieres tonight at 10 p.m.

            I heard the only Peoples who knew Meredith was showing up were Ann and Matt, The others had NO Idea. which is only fair, Ann and Matt deserved to know. But I have to say when they said the queen I just knew it was going to Meredith. Meredith was perfect person for the queen! I don't think anybody else could have pulled that off. Once again Meredith steals the show! but in a good way.

              Great to see Meredith again. Boy do i miss her on Today. Ann is "nice" but kind of boring and tries too hard.
