Matt ended his global journey at an "epic party" in Barbardos. After this week, our anchor deserves to blow off some steam!
As far as those clues go, Matt admitted that the latest one didn't exactly point to anywhere in the world. "I'm just in the mood to have a party. It was a long week, and Barbados is the perfect location for that."
The picture clue did give our readers a bit of a hint. It was a photo of the top of a barrel from Mount Gay Rum, the oldest rum brand in the world.

My guess is Athens.
Well if the Alps are at your back which way will you be facing, he will be going in tat direction, and maybe somewhere with train tracks
Berlin, Germany....
Matt will be dropped onto the deck of Norweigian Cruise Line's Epic, their newest and most innovative ship. I wish I could join the party if this guess is correct!
It looks like the ship will be at sea near the Bahamas tomorrow. He hasn't had a tropical destination and he did travel to Necker Island one year and the Seychelles last time. I'm inclined to think that he would travel further than another destination to Europe to "clock" those miles, too, and it would be on his way back. The tip "to our backs" could refer to sunbathing.
The biggest party spot in Europe is Amsterdam. But I've been wrong about all of my answers so far, so I'm probably wrong this time too! LOL
I have been wrong so far too, but Rena my guess is the same as yours due to Queensday (although it isn't April). My guess is Koninginnedag, Amsterdam.
Alaska is my guess
Ibiza
Amsterdam is my Guess too... It's south of the Alps and the tightest party spot.
Amsterdam is south of the Alps? since when?
He will be in,Townsville City,Queensland,Australia or Mundingburra, have fun Matt.
My guess is VENICE, Italy.
I think Matt's headed to Greece. It's famous for its epic poetry (the Iliad, the Odyssey) and it's the home of track and field (Olympic games). The reference to partying might mean Corfu or one of the other islands known for its nightlife.
Normandy. It's Veteran's Day tomorrow. Epic event happened there.
Italy,
I think he will go to Berlin. It is party central and he can get there by rail.
Compiègne, France, where the Armistice was signed on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month to end World War !.
The National War Museum in Ottawa Canada for Remembrance Day
Compiègne, France, where the Armistice was signed on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month to end World War !.
Matt's going to San Diego to be on the deck of the USS Carl Vinson where the Michigan State Spartans will play the North Carolina Tar Heels in basketball tomorrow. What a party!!!
I think that's a good guess. Would his plane be able to get there from Switzerland that fast, though?
I believe it is Taipee, Taiwan which is celebrating a birthday.
I think Monaco it is
I think Matt will be in Russia on Friday because the clue hinted about tracks and a party of epic proportions. Since the winter olympics including tracks and partying will be located in Russia, I guess there for the last destation.
My guess is Matt is going to Klenova Castle in the Czech Republic.
I wonder if this is something Matt looks forward to every year or dreads every year.
I think he looks forward to this trip. But I'll bet he's exhausted when it's over!
Romania is my guess.
Normandy!
Southampton, England, from where the Titanic began its epic voyage....Before they hit the ice cube they were partying.
My guess is Cologne, Germany. Their Carnival kicks off tomorrow and, according to Frommer's, "the whole country goes barking mad."
Good point Mollie! You may be correct.
