Ann gets Facebook Timeline, guest-edits TODAY's page

NBC

The ever-changing world of social media is poised to take a left turn – again.

Facebook has released its new profile view, Timeline, and Ann is among a small group who launched the new format.

Britney Spears and Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow were among those who joined Ann in the shift (see their pages at the bottom of this post).

Facebook hopes Timeline gives users the ability to tell a richer version of their life story, and we at TODAY.com feel there's no better person to test with than a globe-trotting anchor-superwoman who seems equally at ease with the Dalai Lama as she does Nadya Suleman and her adventurous octuplets.

To mark Ann's online transformation, she'll be guest-editing the TODAY Facebook page all day. From favorite reads to her take on the top news, keep an eye on Facebook for updates from Ann.

Kate Aronowitz, global director of design for Facebook, unveils a new timeline feature that creates a diary through posts and photos, and gives a sneak peek of Ann Curry's page.

Facebook employees explain how Timeline features work, and offer tips for creating a robust profile.

Facebook please get the hint, we don't want stupid little changes. This scrapbook idea is idiotic; I still hate the old new changes. Please stop changing pointless @!$%# and pissing everyone who uses your site off.
