President Barack Obama interview with Matt Lauer in the White House in 2010.
Matt Lauer will sit down with President Barack Obama live on Super Bowl Sunday before the big game.
He'll chat with the commander in chief at the White House about policy and election-year politics.
The one-on-one talk will air during a special pre-game edition of TODAY airing late Sunday afternoon on NBC.
Matt's previous interviews with Obama have been spirited affairs. In June 2010, the president said he was seeking an "ass to kick" over the Gulf oil spill. And before the 2009 Super Bowl, Obama talked about bringing troops home from Iraq.

I JUST LOVE MATT LAUER, he is such a great interviewer and keeps his opinions to himself, that's why i only watch msnbc they are the best most honest and respected news team ever, i know i have inside information on all the networks.
Diana, your insane,, MSNBC is the most Biased of the numerous networks, easily outpacing Fox with their bias.. Im sure you never watch any other news organization so you could not compare,, but its nice to live in a utopia of unchallenged mental thought. And I doubt Matt's going to ask anything of substance and the President has had a chance to review all the questions before hand.. Matts a cream puff reporter, Im glad he can read a TelePrompter as well as the President can..

Why does Obama get free prime air time to spout off his re-election dribble? Beingone, you are correct about the Today show being 'cool aid' drinkers. I heard Ann ripe Newt a new butt hole in an interview a couple of weeks ago. They never went after Obama like that. They love him.

Everyone else is paying 2-3 million dollars to advertise their product.. Wonder what kind of crony capitalism deal has been made here. Will Obama start a new government program to help retard journalists and appoint Matt as a new Czar. All while giving NBC $500 million to support wind energy?
I just love the way Obama out shines his critics and white racism blooms all over the country. That poor man, he has as many people hating him as Jesus did when he walked the earth. The Republicans are probably going nuts wondering what Obama has under his sleeve to show when the presidential campaign really starts. The first thing I would insist upon, is for Romney to show ten years of income tax. Bet he has not paid a dime over that length of time.

He is trying to take away our freedom. I am sure that in a few short years, when our country has gone bankrupt, you will be one of the people that is rioting because all those false promises you believed in didn't come true.
Pulling the race card is sooooooooooooooo 2008. That card has been played before and is highly ineffective. Besides the guy is half white and was raised by the white side of his family. He is barely a black guy anyways.
I am also sure that if you looked at Romney's returns you would find that he has paid more in taxes than you have ever dreamed of earning yourself.

Didn't our campaigner in chief pull this same stunt last year, doing a big campaign interview right before the Super Bowl? Man, the guy doesn't miss an opportunity to grab free publicity, does he? Well I know what I WONT be watching!

Just watched the interview and noticed President Obama wore the same shirt that he did 3 years ago in the same interview!? Is that an idication of the economy that even the President cannot afford the basics in life?
