Subscribe to RSSIndianapolis, we have lift-off! As part of TODAY's coverage of the Super Bowl this morning, Al zip-lined off a nearly 100-foot tall tower, flying above the Crossroads of America at speeds up to 40 miles per hour .
"That, my friends, is how you get to see Indianapolis for Super Bowl XLVI," Al said. "Indy never looked better."
The ride from Ziptrek Ecotours is one of the most popular attractions in town this weekend. It offers a great view of Lucas Oil Stadium, where the big game will be played, and company officials say that at 800 feet, it's the longest temporary zip line ever built.
Jackie Magnuson, a fan who joined TODAY's broadcast in Indy, had a great view of Al flying overhead. Watch her video here.
It's not the first time Al's zip-lined on TODAY. "He's a zip-line expert," Matt said, referring to the time that he joined Al, Ann and Meredith in flying over Vancouver during the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Thanks Al and the Today show for showing ruining the best part of the superbowl, the commercials. In a year with two teams that make no difference to me who wins. I now know more about the commercials, the surprise celebrities and content then i wanted to know before Super bowl sunday.
