Many of your photo submissions this week flaunted your musical talents on instruments ranging from the family heirloom bass to the prized trumpet. Even though we couldn't hear the guitar's strum or the trumpet's honk, these photos made it clear just how important musical moments of teaching, learning and practicing were to you.

Billy Bass
"When my son was born, I had my favorite bass refinished in blue with his name and birth date on the back...He loved the vibrations and took a gummy nibble on the neck as mom took a picture." - Jason Shewmake

Girl and guitar
"This is my daughter Macy, and her guitar. We decided to do a late summer day photo shoot at a park. This is one of my favorite photos I've ever taken." - Bonnie Gunkel

Joshua playing the piano
Maria Gonzalez Prescod sent in this photo of four-year-old Joshua Prescod playing the piano.

Strumming with grandpa
"Sydney Sargent with her 'Poppy' learning to play the banjo." - Erin Sargent

Baby maestros
"This is a photograph of my daughter and her little boy cousin... sharing a sweet moment together!" - Jill Plain

Phoebe practices with Dingo
"This is my daughter practicing her trumpet this afternoon as our dog Dingo sits beside her. Instead of singing along or running away, Dingo gladly curls up near whomever is practicing music." - Jenni Callard
