TODAY's Life Illustrated reflects on tornado devastation

For this week's edition, TODAY's Life Illustrated reflects on the toll Friday's tornadoes took on life and property for folks in a number of Midwest states.

By Chiara Sottile, Weekend TODAY

This special edition of TODAY's Life Illustrated captures a snapshot of the destruction caused by tornadoes that have claimed the lives of at least 37 people in Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Alabama and Georgia. These images are not just of splintered homes and displaced possessions, but also of people putting their lives back together. On our show today and in the video below we share images of the resilient people picking up the pieces in the storm's wake.

For the coming weeks, TODAY's Life Illustrated is looking for your most memorable "spring" moments. If you have snapshots that capture our warming weather or the new season, please submit them at this link. And remember, some of your photos will appear on-air next Sunday!
